Since 1991, the NFL has held conferences on lexicography in the Nordic countries.

Upcoming conference

In 2019, the 15th conference on lexicography in the Nordic countries will be organized in Helsinki. It will take place at the University of Helsinki on 4-7 June 2019 with a prelude in the form of a reception on Tuesday 4 June in the evening.

The theme is: Dictionaries – by whom, for whom and why?

The conference is organized by the Institute of Indigenous Languages ​​in collaboration with the University of Helsinki and the Nordic Association for Lexicography.

Previous conferences

The 14th Conference on Lexicography in the Nordic Region was held in Reykjavík from 30 May to 2 June 2017. The conference had both a thematic and a non-thematic part. The theme was: Dictionaries and linguistic resources .

13. Conference on Lexicography in the Nordic countries was held in Copenhagen 19-22. May 2015 and was arranged by Ømålsordbogen, Nordic Research Institute, University of Copenhagen in collaboration with the Nordic Association for Lexicography.

The conference brought together participants from all areas of lexicography and adjacent disciplines from all over the Nordic region, and as something new this time the conference also had a theme: The digital dictionary user . The conference report will soon be available online.
